In the Waterberg Highlands of Limpopo, South Africa, Pro-Plum Organics produces top-quality organic plums, peaches, apricots and nectarcots. The family business of Paul Roos Sr and Jr is the only commercial producer of organic stone fruit in South Africa.

The Roos family began farming cattle in 1968 but switched to fruit cultivation in the 1990s. Since 2005, the entire farm has been managed organically – with no parallel conventional production. This makes Pro-Plum a true pioneer in organic fruit growing.

The orchards are located in the ecologicallly pristine Waterberg region, with clean mountain water and fertile soils. Pro-Plum produces its own compost and worm tea, enriched with natural humic and fulvic acids. Thanks to the organic soil structure, water is retained more effectively. No chemical pesticides or GMOs are used – pest insects are controlled through natural predators.

All fruit is packed in Pro-Plum’s own organic packhouse, ensuring 100% traceability and strict quality control.
“Organic is more than a label to us,” says Paul Roos Jr. “We are building healthy soils, biodiversity and fruit with genuine flavour – good for people and the planet.”

The Pro-Plum organic stone fruit season is approaching. Please contact your Eosta account manager for availability and planning.
