The organic limes market has faced considerable challenges in recent months. Due to the bad weather in Brazil, the quality of many limes from the south has been moderate to poor. At the same time, there is oversupply, creating pressure on the market. By buying from multiple origins - including Peru, Colombia and Brazil - we keep our supply stable and the quality reliable.
As the summer season approaches, the playing field is changing. Demand for limes is highly weather-dependent and usually increases as the weather gets warmer. With higher temperatures approaching, demand usually increases.
Eosta deliberately opts for diversifeid sourcing to ensure a consistent weekly supply of fresh, high-quality organic limes. From week 24, a new Colombian supplier will start delivering – the first batches look excellent. In addition, Peru supplies weekly, and from week 26/27, Brazil will return to the mix with Fairtrade-certified fruit available as an option.
In a volatile market, staggered sourcing provides security. Our organic limes are fresh green, firm, and reliably high in quality. Through smart sourcing and careful selection, we ensure a steady supply of fresh organic limes this summer – so you can count on consistent quality week after week.
